“ After making such a splash in Midtown earlier this year, I'm super bummed that Ola (formally Ola Cafe) has closed. It was an emerging gem of the neighborhood, which aside from a killer location, also had the luxury of a spacious parking lot, a drive-thru, and a one-stop shop for numerous caffeinated (and non-caffeinated) drinks with an introduction to food recently. It was one of my regular haunts because it had a lot of what I need on a daily basis: a good drink, fast WiFi, and a convenient location. I was here for work from home assignments, meetups, and some of my favorite dalgona / matcha based drinks. It also helped that it was bright and clean, with a fun outdoor area and super convenient hours. Lastly, I was most appreciative of the service. There were a lot of fun, hip, and young folks working here to make the days go well, and I loved that they were friendly from open to close. It didn't matter if it was a different crew during the various days; they had always made me feel welcome during every visit. “ Ola Cafe is such a nice place to study at! Drink: I got the Oat Milk Dalgona, and the coffee is more on the sweeter side. If you're a sucker for sweet coffee like me, you will love this drink (just make sure you stir thoroughly before drinking). My cousin who got this drink on the other hand thought it was too sweet, so it really depends on the person. Food: I got the beef bulgogi banh mi and it tasted pretty decent. Compared to banh mi's in general, $9 is so overpriced If you're starving and want food, you might want to consider the japchae or bibimbop since the bowls seem pretty big for the price. Parking: They have their own parking lot, so parking is fairly easy to find! Ambiance: Space is opened with lots of tables, the colors insight are bright and there are big windows that allow natural sunlight to come in. Most people are studying/working so it's quiet, but not dead silent. When I went to the cafe it was hot, but another time I went it was super chilly. I would make sure to just bring a jacket in case it is cold. Wifi: They provide free wifi, though I noticed at somepoints that it tends to slow down. Probably would not recommend coming here for an important call or exam, but for the most part the wifi shouldn't disrupt your work too much!! “ I'm always a sucker for asian fusion places so I highly recommend this place. It is super cute on the inside and outside and has a good ambience. This is a great place for study vibes and getting work done but also great for a casual meetup with friends as well! There is a lot of space and tables for crowded days too. I got the japchae and it tasted great with the perfect blend of ingredients! They serve it pretty quickly and the portion size is perfect and the price is very reasonable for the japchae and bibimbap too. TLDR: location is great service is great parking is great food is great aesthetics are great Will definitely add it to my list of coffee shops to frequent in the future. I will be coming back to try their drinks next time as well! ”

“ Dang, Ola is crushing it As a Korean person, I had doubts.... a cafe rolling out Korean food? It must be mid. Instead, it was pretty lit. For ~$8, the food was pretty authentic and good. I am pretty sure this place is owned by a Korean person who is also good at running a business - awesome decor and maximizing order flow with even a drive-through. I'm glad this cafe is here to bring lively and vibrant energy! And thanks Yelp for the event! P.S. The matcha lemonade was mid for me though. Didn't love how all the drinks are artificial flavoring ”

“ I was here for Elite Yelp week today for lunch. I really like the interior. Really bright, clean and refreshing. The person who took the order at the counter was very friendly. I had: Japchae - 5/5: I had the bulgogi beef japchae. The beef was very good, very well marinated and cooked. It had the typical japchae noodles with a good mix of vegetables. I would definitely order this again. Beef Banh Mi - 4/5: This had the same beef as the japchae. The beef is so good. It comes on a traditional French baguette, had onions, cucumbers and carrots. Overall the flavors are good. My suggestion would be that the sandwich could use a bit more meat (thought the protein to bread ratio was on the stingy side), and I would do a light pickle on the cucumber, onions and carrots versus serving them raw. I think this would elevate the flavors and bring it a bit towards a more traditional banh mi. Overall, a very good experience. ”

“ I came back to try their newly menu item: bulgogi banh mi. They give you options of either grilled chicken or beef. I went with beef. They also offer you the option of removing anything from it that you don't like. I ended up having everything on it because I wanted to try it all. I love the idea of Korean-Vietnamese fusion. I love both cuisines, so it was really cool and unique getting to try both of these in a banh mi. Some of the things that made this bulgogi banh mi unique is that it has bulgogi, pickled red onions and Ola mayo, which I felt like is very different from your typical banh mi. The flavors all came together very well. I liked that the banh mi was already sliced in half, so it was easier for consumption. They give you the sriracha and Ola mayo sauces on the side, which I highly recommend drizzling over the banh mi to further enhance the flavor. The Ola mayo is similar to spicy mayo, but there's something a little different about it. The banh mi does also have your typical banh mi ingredients in it like butter, cucumbers, shredded carrots, and cilantro. It also all comes in a very cute container too. The container honestly makes it easier to eat too because eating a banh mi in general can get pretty messy. I also got the iced marsala chai matcha caffe latte drink again because I loved how it tasted last time. I decided to stay this time to work on some stuff on my laptop, and I absolutely loved the vibe here. There is just plenty of seating, and everyone around is also busy working on something or studying. Everyone was very respectful and kept quiet, which makes this a great study/working spot. The next time I need to work on something on my laptop, this place is definitely at the top of my list to come. What more can you want from a place that offers great drinks, great food, and a great study/working environment?! I also love that there's plenty of parking here. Also, service is fantastic; the workers are very friendly and nice! ”

“ Wow. Okay. All you need to know is that after my first sip, my mouth dropped and I uttered "my God today". A small tear streamed down my face at the pure joy this beverage brought me on a Saturday afternoon. Legit one of the best caffeinated beverages I've had. If I lived closer, this place would be a serious problem for me. This place is so cute and did I mention it's big! They have plenty of seating both inside and out. The staff was so very kind and they all greeted me upon entry.I ordered the Masala Chai Dalgona (comes with oat milk). My only complaint would be that I couldn't tip the staff! They told me they don't take tips. Those sweet babies better be making good money! Lol Honestly, I'm getting overwhelmed thinking about this drink again so I'm gonna stop here. “ I have been here twice so far and definitely plan on making more visits First off, the fact they have a decent size private parking lot in midtown is amazing! That is definitely one of the reasons it makes it enticing to keep coming back! I'm lugging an infant with me and sometimes my toddler, so not having to do street parking and pull out a stroller on the street is a win for me already. I have came at noon on a Saturday and 0800 on a Tuesday and plenty of spaces available. Can't forget the drive thru for the moments that you gotta grab and go. I have to point out the drink carriers. They are the bomb! Just a sturdy carrier that I still have it to reuse. There is seating outside and inside. Plenty of seating! I love how bright, clean, and white the place is! Definitely lifts the mood and makes you happy. Pastry: I have never heard or had an apricot pumpkin bread before until I came here and lordy it is delicious! Definitely worth trying. Drinks: The matcha strawberry lemonade is so good and refreshing. I didn't think it was overly sweet. I highly recommend this. The oat milk dalgona is also a must try. I thought that this would be pretty sweet like all the homemade recipes during the pandemic craze but nope it's not lacking sweetness and it's not overly sweet, it's just right! “ It's only recently opened but I've been twice already. Their coffee is pretty good but I'd say everything im listing below is what makes it for me: I love the entire aesthetic, bright and lots of natural light coming in. It also seems really great for people studying/working A friend got their walnut chocolate cookie and said it was actually very good. The cashier said they make them here specialty The drive thru is a rare thing it feels but it's amazing. Super easy as you'd expect. Parking lot is plentiful They have an outdoor seating area and some turf as well And it's only 4 minutes from my place. I could probably walk on a nice day ;) ”
